![]() Maybe 4k always looked this good and I didn’t know it because I couldn’t get it to work before yesterday’s update. This is only my impression after 30 minutes of play last night. Seriously though, take what I say with a grain of salt. It would be too much work for FarSight to maintain two different version of the same game. It wouldn’t make much sense for FarSight to maintain two different 3D models of the Ringmaster’s head or two different textures, or whatever just to separate the elites from the plebs like myself. And it only makes sense that the work involved in making the tables better to accomodate Cabinet Mode would trickle down to the non-cabinet mode. To me, this is in line with what was being claimed by Arcooda. We pride ourselves on providing customers with the exact arcade machines that. Delivery is available internationally, and all over the USA. I wish I could compare the tables the previous version to be sure I’m not off my rocker. Professionally cut using CNC machinery, your arcade machine arrives as a complete machine or flat-packed and ready-to-assemble, giving you the fun of building and tailoring your own modern arcade machine. Maybe it’s the ol’ update-placebo-effect or maybe it’s the fact that I’m now running the game in 4k and then downsampling to 2.5k making things look smooth but I feel like the lighting effects have been improved, many 3D models seem improved (Ringmaster’s head in Cirqus Voltaire, the genie in Tales of the Arabian Nights, for example), and, dare I say, the physics are better. However, I've got only my memory to compare them to. What tables looked better? I just had a quick look and couldnt see any improvement on MB or AF. But I briefly got to see cabinet mode and the graphics enhancements and I'm *not* disappointed! There's a glass reflection effect that I never notcied before on many (all?) tables. Maybe it's placebo but many of the 3D models seem better. I'm back to regular TPA but I've been playing in 4k (which wasn't working for me before this update) and it looks to me like the graphics enhancements are there. So it looked weird on my display because I'm looking at it directly and not from an angle like you would on a virtual pinball cabinet display. But I briefly got to see cabinet mode and the graphics enhancements and I'm *not* disappointed!Īnd then after they fixed the problem, I was back to regular TPA which has all the graphics enhancements that are in cabinet mode (minus being able to configure room lighting and pinball lights brightness which cabinet mode seemed to have.)Ĭabinet mode seems to correct for field of vue. FarSight did a slight booboo and a second update gave me a chance to take a look at the cabinet mode (without even having the key).
